News On September 15 Rua Soleil Abu-Borislav got 2xCAC at the show Moscow area Governor Cup. Congratulations! On September 2 Rua Soleil Imagine Rainbow (Iris) became the winner of all-breed baby puppies show. Great start! Congratulations!
On July 28 Diurso and Buddy s litter has been examined by the Club representatives. All puppies are ''accepted to the leonbergers. They are are well developed, strong, active, with lively temperament. More pictures in the Litters section.
On July 22 a regional specialty show has been held in Ivanovo (350 km from Moscow). First of all we would like to thank the organizers of the show - Nadezhda and Sergey Kutinov, Vladimir Ryasin. They have done, what people come to the shows for: accommodation at the excellent recreational zone, great party with excellent food, excellent organization of the show with the prizes, which would make envious the participants of many international shows! Now about our results:
Expert - J. Hansen (Denmark),17 entries. Hammer as a Best male at the show got the special prize of Zhelsomino, established by V. Ryasin to commemorate his dearest friend, twice National Club Champion. Congratulations to all the winners and participants of this great event!
On July 8 Diva became BOB and got CACIB at the International show in Kursk (500 km south of Moscow). Rosa was the winner of intermediate class. It was heavily raining and there was no photos. On June 17 an international CACIB all breeds show was held in Smolensk (400 km from Moscow); 5 leos, expert a. Kislyakov, Belarus. Diva is open class winner, best female, BOB, CACIB. Hammer - open class winner, best male, CACIB (now we are waiting for the confirmation for Interchampion title!), Rosa is the intermediate class winner, RCACIB.
June 14 Abrau-Diurso gave birth to a litter. All feel fine. Details in the Litters section!
June 9-11 we continued travelling. This time we have vivited Finland. On June 9 we took part at the all breed show in Kangasniemi (Central part of Finland) - 14 leos, expert Paul Lawless (Ireland). Diva has won the open class, became the Best female and got Finnish Champion title, Rosa - intermediate class winner and the 2-nd best female, RCAC, Hammer - open class winner, 2-nd Best male, RCAC. On June 10 in Jamsankoski the judge was Hilkka Salohalla (Finland). For the first time in his show carrier Hammer got very good, Rosa - the same (we respect the opinion of the judge), and Diva has impressed everyone with the quality of movement and became not the only Best female, but also BOB and twice Finnish champion!!!
On June 2 and 3 we have visited Estonia. On June 2 there was International CACIB show in Tallinn, expert Antonio di Lorenzo (Italy), 21 leonberger. There were leos from Finland, Poland, Latvia and Estonia. Hammer became the open class winner, 3rd in placement for the Best male, but nevertheless got Sertti (CAC), because two Finnish champions ahead of him have already been Estonian champions as well. Rosa was the 2nd in intermediate class, Diva - champion class winner, 4th best female, Gunnar - 3rd exc. in junior class. The next day a Specialty show has been held (29 leos), expert Jurgen Franken (Germany), where Hammer got again Sertti (open class winner, 2nd Best male), Diva - 2ns in champion class, Rosa - the 2nd in intermediate class, Gunnar - 3rd in junior class. Our greetings to Hammer, Estonian Champion, and to Gunnar for his first international experience! All others also have done really well, being placed both days. The shows were very well organized, atmosphere and attitude was very friendly, positive, interested. And no problem speaking Russian!:)
On May 5 our kennel celebrated its birthday. Thanks to all, who came to greet us! Regardless of unfavourable weather, we had great time. Based on the show results for the last year, Arden Bois (Hammer) and Abrau-Diurso got the titles "Rua Soleil Pride". Congratulations to Tatyana and Dmitriy Kasatkin and to Kira and Alexander Romanov. We are happy to welcome new friends: Svetlana Mikhailovna and Alexandra (S.-Petersbourg) took their puppies back home.
On April 30 National Club Specialty show was held in Moscow, expert Peter Cejnek (Àustria).(Some words from Mr. Cejnek) What can we say? It is interesting, when there is an intrigue and guesses turn to be wrong. May be we should start gambling, who is going to win? Your chances to win are low! So, official results of our kennel are the following:
Overall, not bad. We are happy for the wonderful debut of Gunnar - Young Champion Of the Club! Our sincere greetings to Borg's son (and Belle du Mont Kailasa) - Barklay iz Galkina Gnezda, who became the Club Champion! (All results and photos see at www.leonberger.ru). According to the sum of 2006 Club shows total results, our greetings to Rua Soleil Abrau-Diurso, who became The best Female -2006! (I had to get the prize, as Diurso cut her paw and missed the show). To my opinion, the atmosphere at the show was much more friendly, less competitive. It is great, that the new dogs were winning!
February 25 and 25 the biggest International Show in Russia Eurasia1 and Eurasia-2 took place in Moscow. 28 leonbergers participated during the first day and 25 - in the second one. Rosa has won the junior female class both days and twice became The Best Junior. Hammer got RCACIB the first day, and on the second - CACIB and became Best of Breed. We are proud that Rua Soleil Abrau-Diurso (Borg x Diva), became The Best Female of Eurasia-2! Congratulations to Rua Soleil Yukka - the open class winner, RCACIB at Eurasia -1! Our congratulations to Vlassa, daughter of Borg and Khloya, who got CACIB and became The Best female of Eurasia-1! We are happy that Borg's progenies- Barklai iz Galkina Gnezda and Eremei iz Poselka Sokol`became the winners of junior male class at the first and the second day respectively. February 5 Dalida gave birth to a male puppy.
January 11 we returned from Finland with Polya and Diva. Follow information about the matings.
December 24 W. Guellix presented the main principles of breeding the leonbergers, illustrated the desired type of the breed and gave valuable comments on showing the dogs in the ring. We sincerely thank Willi on behalf of our National Club!
December 23 Rua Soleil Abrau-Diurso has won intermediate class and again became the Best female at the Club show, expert W. Guellix (Germany). Hammer was open class winner. Rua Soleil Yukka - champion class winner. Congratulations!

December 9 Polya has successfully
passes the Obedience exam and got the 1st degree!

On October 28 Russian Leonberger Club regional show will take place in Moscow on stadium Br. Znamenskikh. Expert is Francesca Mavilla, Italy. Time of the ring start will be announced later.
On September 26 Borg has left us…
On September 25 a DCLH show devoted to 160 jubilee of the breed took place in Leonberg. 322 leos both from Germany and other European countries participated in the show. For the first time the leonbergers of Russian breeding took part. This fact has been mentioned even by local press!
Moreover we are proud that our first experience was successful. Rua Soleil Arden Bois took the second place in intermediate class (18 leos) and got RCAC.
A delegation from Russian Leonberger Club visited the show. Everyone was willing to have a picture with new monument to Leonberger, recently opened by the Mayor of the city.
On August 17 we received the confirmation of Borg’s Interchampion de Beaute title! All our children can be proud for their father and send their greetings.
On August 12 we’ve got a new member of our kennel. Alexander and Kira, owners of Rua Soleil Abrau-Diurso brought a charming son of Barney v.d. Johann- Adams- Muhle, the winner of German Leonberger Club Show -2005 in Leonberg. Loeveliens Guns n’ Roses of Barney (Gunnar) was born in Loeveliens kennel in Norway. We sincerely thank Vegard and Hilgjerd Nordmo for perfectly raised puppies, warm welcome and hospitality. We will do our best to make sure that Gunnar is happy, healthy and successful in Russia.
On June 27 Hammer and Polya got the official title of Champion of Russia. Congratulations!
On June 11 we participated in the European Winner Dog show in Helsinki. There were 59 dogs listed, 12 out of which were from Russia. Firstly, it is important that leos from Russia started to take part in the most prestigious events and compare with the best dogs from other countries. Secondly, we are very happy, that 4 out of 5 our kennel dogs have been placed and Hammer and Dalida became intermediate class winners! Special thanks to Marina Bykadorova for great handling.

On May 20 we celebrated our kennel birthday. Thanks to everyone for the greetings! Starting this year we established a special award - “Pride of Rua Soleil”. Every year the diploma will be awarded to the most successful female and male, born in our kennel. This year the award goes to Rua Soleil Yukka, owner Nadezhda Kutinova and Rua Soleil Yustas, owner Svetlana Titova - the first Russian Champions born in our kennel.

On April 29 and 30 International Dog Show was held in Kiev (Ukraine).
Both days Hammer became BOB and got 2õCACIB, Polya became The Best
female and also got 2õCACIB. Diva got Champion of Ukraine title.
On April National Club show, devoted to its 10-anniversary took place. Mr. G. Zerle, President of the International Leonberger Club and Chairman of German Leonberger Club, came to Moscow for the first time for this special event to judge the show. 78 leos- record number for our club – participated in the show! For the first time ever different contests were included into the show program.
Rua Soleil leos and Borg’s descendants were the first or placed in each class, where they were shown (the results and some photos are in the table).

My son Maxim (4 year old) was the first in the contest “A child and a dog” with Polya. Maxim managed to control both himself and Polya and competed successfully among older handlers.
Borg and Diva became “The best couple”.
And the most important achievement – Rua Soleil became «The best kennel – 2006»! Thanks to Svetlana (Yustas) and Nadezhda (Yukka) for their support and participation!

05.05.06 On April 2 Rua Soleil Arden Bois (Hammer) got CAC, CACIB and became BOB at the International dog show in Belarus, Minsk. Alpen Gold got CAC and CACIB and became Best female. Diva got CAC. All three dogs received the title of Belarus Champion.
09.03.06 On March 5 Rua Soleil Anastasia became the junior Class winner, got CAC certificate and was placed 3rd in comparison for the Best female at the dog show in Juuka, Finland. There were 21 leonbergers at the show, 13 out of them – females. Expert - Lilian Hanniste. Congratulations to Marika!
27.02.06 February 25, 26 two International shows (CACIB) – Eurasia-1 and Eurasia-2 - took place in Moscow. Both days Polya has become the Best junior female and entitled to Junior Champion of Russia. Arden Bois (Hammer) became the Best junior the first day, but unfortunately was not shown the second day. Rua Soleil Yukka got RCACIB on the first day. On February 26 Borg won the Champion class, became the Best male and got CACIB.

09.02.2006 A wonderful girl - Invisible Ingrid – has joined us recently. She is from Italian kennel Kalambaka’s of Francesca Mavilla and Daniela. At home she’ve got a nick name Rosa – by the ribbon colour given her by Francesca, when she was born. Rosa is getting along very well with everyone, especially children and Polya. She is very lively, kind, easy going and elf sure – a real leonberger!
