About the Kennel Rua Soleil

Our passion for the leonbergers started with Adelgeida Berta (Gera), our first leo. She introduced us to the Leonberger world and helped to meet a lot of wonderful people.

As our acquaintance with the breed progressed, we visited many national and international shows in Russia and German Club Show in Leonberg.  Our understanding and vision of the leonberger type was developing. Therefore we decided to import two other dogs from the leading Europen kennels.

Borg du Mont Kailasa (Borg), born in October 2002 came from Belgium, (breeder M. De Wit), son of Vegas du Mont Kailasa, Interchampion, Ch. of Belgium and France. Borg became Junior Ch.RUS, Champion of Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, Champion of RKF; National Club Champion, Interchampion. Borg has great character typical for the real leonberger - self-confident, brave, very communicative, easy learning, lively. Borg has left great offsprings.  

Berljon GodivaSweet (Diva) was born in November 2002  in the best Italian kennel Berljon (breeder Dr. G. Perosino). Her mother Berljon OrkideOdessa is Ch.of Italy and World Champion 2000. Father, Bobby Ensson Bohemia , Ch. of Italy, Interchampion. Diva has become Junior Ch.RUS, Champion of Russia, Belorussia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Champion of RKF. She is a real princess, like her mom!

In 2004 our friends Tatyana and Dmitriy Kasatkiny, after observing our leos for a while, decided, that leonberger is their dreem dog and decided to get a leo as a part of our kennel. We have imported a female Dalida du Mont Kailasa from the same Belgian kennel, where Borg has come from. She has different lines, which could be very interesting for further breeding. Dalya is very tender and faithful to her owners. She has become Champion of Russia, Bulgaria, Class Winner at the European Championship –2006 in Helsinki.

We kept a female Polya (Rua Soleil Alpen Gold) and Tatiana and Dmitriy Kasatkiny took Hammer (Rua Soleil Arden Bois) born in Jan 2005 from the first litter from Borg and Diva. They got the best from their parents and already became Junior Champions of Russia, Champions of Russia, Belorussia, Ukraine, Bulgaria. Polya has successfully finished Obedience training and got 1^st degree, which some German shepards envy.

	Hammer became the first Russian leo taken part in the German Club show in Leonberg, where he was placed the second in intermediate class. It is a big honor and success for us! At the European Championship in Helsinki, 2006 Hammer has become Class Winner. He has great character – tender, easy going, brave and self-confident. A real leo knight!
But as it often happens with the leos – it is hard to stop, and in winter 2006 we brought joyful and playful Rosa (Kalambaka’s Invisible Ingrid), daughter of European Champion 2005 ã. Grace and Interchampion, Champion of Italy Andreius, born at Kalambaka’s kennel (br. Francesca Mavilla). As soon as Rosa appeared, our other dogs became playing and running like puppies again – it is impossible to resist her energy and charm.
	We are lucky to find good friends and sincere leo lovers! Keera and Alexander Romanov (the fact that we have the same family name, probably is not just a coincidence) took Diurso (Rua Soleil Abrau Diurso), daughter of Borg and Diva, from us. Soon they decided to enter our kennel and co-own a male, whom we brought from Norway, a son of  wonderful Barney v.d. Johann-Adams-Muhle   - Gunnar (Loveliens Guns n’Roses) from Loveliens kennel (br. V.Nordmo).

The main principles of our kennel are:

-         Excellent health of the dogs. All our dogs are regularly monitored by veterinarian specialist, are properly and timely vaccinated, HD tested. They are raised on Hill’s pet food. Dogs live both at home and outside having plenty of outdoor area to run and play.

-       The best genetic fund.  The best in Europe genetic lines with sound health and stable temperament are a start for the kennel. Further work we plan with the descendants from our own breeding.

-         Upbringing and Training. Care, training and development of the dogs according to their talents and preferences to strengthen the bond with the owner and socialize.

-         Continuous progress. We are communicating with the leading European kennels and breed experts to learn more about the breed and promote it in Russia. 

-         Professional approach. Taking into account responsibility over our dogs' health, well-being and breeding, I decided to get special education in Cynological School with the Veterinarian Academy, and graduated in 2006 with the diploma of cynologist and breeder .
